The new moon on 31st January 2014 marks the Chinese New Year and the start of the year of the Horse. Chinese astrology is actually quite in depth and goes beyond just the animal of the year you are born in. Much like in Western astrological birth chart, there are other signs/animals governing months, weeks, days and even the hours. However, much like our sun signs, it is the animal of our year of birth that we seem to love to read about and I have added all the standard information you could require.
The Year of the Horse
Horse is the seventh sign of the Chinese zodiac and its Western counterpart is Gemini. There is more information about what the general characteristics of a Horse year are on the page 2014 – The Chinese New Year of the Horse.
If you or someone you know were born in the year of the Horse, you can find more information about the character traits associated with this and the other eleven signs of the zodiac on the page The Chinese Zodiac.
What the Year of the Horse Means for You
Of course, the effects of each year differ for each of the signs of the zodiac. The Year of the Horse for You will allow you to calculate what your sign is, by simply entering your date of birth, and then give you information on how the year of the Horse will affect your sign.
So no matter what your sign, I wish you all the best for the coming year of the Horse!
