Page of Swords Tarot Card Meanings

This is a court card and here we see a young man atop a hill, holding a sword raised in his hands.

The first question I ask when I see this image is why does this boy have a sword?  He has it raised, as though he is ready to use it, and this worries me.  I would caution him to be careful with his weapon.  While he may very well have something that needs defending or fought for, there is a reason we do not send children into war. 

The exuberance that is associated with youth makes me want to caution this page.  While he may have the fearlessness to go ahead and fight for what he believes in, I’m not sure it is the right time for that.
