Knight of Swords Tarot Card Meanings
This court card shows a knight charging forward on his horse at great speed, with a sword raised above his head.
The horse and his rider look like they are moving at an immense speed. I can almost hear the war cry from this knight’s mouth, and there is no doubt in my mind that he is charging into battle; he has his sword raised how above him and is ready to swing at the first enemy or obstacle. He seems to not be afraid and very dedicated to whatever he may be fighting for.
The Knight of Cups and the Knight of Pentacles seemed to firstly lack a goal and secondly to lack momentum, this knight, however, lacks neither. While he would no doubt be great in battle, I think I would be quite afraid if I was faced with him charging towards me. This kind of drive and purpose can at times come at the cost of the softer elements of our human nature, making us ruthless and even cruel.
