Queen of Pentacles Tarot Card Meanings
The image on this court card shows a queen holding a coin in her lap, sitting on a throne surrounded by a garden in full bloom. Her throne is adorned with the carving of a goat’s head and fruit.
This queen, of all the queens, has a serene, nurturing motherly quality to her; just look at the way she tenderly looks down on the coin she is holding. Her posture, expression and surroundings remind me of the Empress.
The queen in this image seems grounded and down to earth and has obviously worked hard as she is surrounded by the fruits of her labour in the lush landscape.
The work and the achievements have not hardened her though and I still detect a softness in her. Looking at the animal she has chosen to adorn her throne, I feel she is as sure footed as a goat. After all, sometimes when even a man or a horse cannot climb to the top of a mountain, the goat will find a way and reach the top.
