Star Tarot Card Meanings
I love the image of the Star card. There is something very uplifting and hopeful about it made all the more beautiful as it follows the terror of the Tower. There is another reason this is one of my favourite cards, and that is because as an Aquarian myself, something deep within me relates and resonates to the image of the kneeling woman pouring water from her urns. Aquarius is the humanitarian of the zodiac and where most people would be filling their urns at a lake, or keeping what they have in the urns only for themselves, the figure in this image is freely pouring out the contents of her urns. The water being poured into the lake flows outwards in ripples and the water being poured on land is flowing out in all directions. She is naked and her nudity expresses her innocence and purity. What is she creating and what is she doing and why? There is peace in her and it is as if she has hopes for the contents of the urns that she pours away; there is no remorse or loss. Above her head is a big star, surrounded by seven smaller ones. Is the main star a guiding star? Where will it lead us?
The woman also has one foot in the water and one on the earth; which seems like a perfect balance. She seems to have come down from the star-filled sky above to replenish the lakes and water the lands. Her act promises a time of plenty and of healing; everything will be fine. We are nourished and replenished and guided onwards on our path, full of hope that everything will work out.
