Justice Tarot Card Meanings
The images of the Justice card really do very clearly tie in with its name. We see a crowned man sitting on a throne. In one hand he has scales, in the other a raised sword. The first thought that comes to my mind is that of King Solomon. The king on this card will weigh up what is right and wrong and he is willing to act accordingly to make sure justice is carried out.
He sits between two pillars, which make me think he has knowledge and wisdom as well as the pillars indicating a firm, solid foundation. The raised sword though, does not make me think of punishment. It is held straight up, more as warning that justice may not always sit well with us, not raised at an angle as if to attack and maim.
I feel that if I went before this person with an issue, I could be confident that it would be fairly weighed up and that a just decision would be made. In the same vein, if I had done something wrong, I would feel sure that my wrong deeds were about to be exposed and that I would be punished.
A more modern version of a King deciding matters of law would be a judge in a court. Therefore this card could very much relate to legal matters, either a court case or contracts. But we can look for justice in everyday life too.
This card always makes me feel very confident that whatever happens, the truth is about to become apparent and justice will most definitely be served, whether we like it or not.
These are the Justice tarot card meanings we use in the Free Readings on Aquarian Insight:
Key Words: Justice, Responsibility, Decision, Cause and Effect, Balance
General: Today may well be all about redressing the balance. Justice is the main aim of the day and the truth will out. But remember, justice for one person, may not be justice for another. As long as you have been honest you will have nothing to worry about.
Love: Has there been an injustice in your love life? Today could see you getting some justice be that in the form of a decision, an apology, or even that divorce. The truth will win today but remember, one person’s truth is not always another’s and it’s not always easy to take.
Work: Today bodes well for contracts and decisions – justice where there has been injustice. But remember, justice is all about balance, so if you’ve been working too hard and neglecting your personal life or vice versa, you may be forced to rectify that today.
Justice and balance are indicated. When this card appears it means that it is time for balance to be returned to the situation via justice; the truth will out. But remember, justice for one person, may not be justice for another. As long as you have been honest and true you will have nothing to fear. Contracts and legal matters may also be signified.
