There are so many sites that offer free readings that you may find yourself wondering can free online reading sites be trusted. There are predominantly two types of readings offered by these sites; the first ones are where you click a button and the cards are shuffled and a reading and their meanings are presented to you, like the Free Readings we offer on this site. The second type is where a real person does a reading for you. But whatever type of reading, can free online reading sites be trusted? I’m going to look at the different types and give some tips and advice.
Free, Fun and Entertaining But No Substitute For a Professional Reading
A free online reading where the cards are shuffled and the reading and meanings displayed on the screen are great because they are fun and can give you food for thought, but they should never be used as a substitute for a real professional reading with an experienced reading. While some of these are of the highest quality, and they are even calibrated to shuffle with the same probability as if you were really shuffling a deck of cards, and the meanings for each card are detailed, it takes an experienced professional reader to make connections between the cards and to use his or her own intuition to give a full reading. So if you require guidance on an important issue or situation, always consult a professional.
Helping a Student of Tarot Helps You
There are several sites where students of the tarot offer free readings in exchange for feedback. I have written more about this in How To Be A Tarot Reader as well as recommending one such site where I was one of the readers. This is a great way in which to get a personal reading for free as well as helping a tarot reader to hone their skill. You will obviously be expected to give personal details when requesting a reading on such a site, be sure to make sure that the site confirms that your details will only be used for the purposes of the free reading, and nothing else.
Be Wary of Giving Your Personal Details
As I’ve just mentioned, in order to get a free personal reading, you will have to give some personal details including your e-mail address and it is very important that you only give your information to sites that will use it for the purposes of your reading. Some free reading sites are set up as fronts to obtain your information which they then use for other purposes or even sell to others, which can make you the target of phishing scams. I came across such a site a while back. I will not mention the site as I do not want to give it any more traffic than it already gets. The owner of the site had contacted me to review the site and to include it in an article I had written recommending sites offering free online readings. This site claims to offer the best free tarot readings on the internet, but basically what it offers is a computer generated free tarot reading. So many other sites offer this, but the site in question makes you go through a complicated process obtaining your e-mail address, getting you to confirm that e-mail address before you can see the reading. If you read the terms and conditions, which are very lengthy, you see that your details will be sold and used for marketing. What offended me even more is that site owner claims that she actually does readings every day and uploads them and this is what makes the readings better than any other site. Unless the site only has a few visitors a day, there is no way one tarot reader could do a personal reading in this way for every free reading request.
Use Your Common Sense and Only Use Good Free Online Readings for What They Are Meant As
This is basically what it comes down to; use your common sense when getting a free tarot reading. Make sure you know what the information you are providing will be used for. Even if you are not being asked to give any information, realise that for complicated questions or when you need serious advice, you cannot rely solely on a free reading but will need to consult an experienced professional tarot reader.
